Meet Coach Kristina Wojieck Stein

TVA Executive Director

With more than 20 years of volleyball experience, TVA’s Executive Director Kristina Wojieck-Stein continues to have BIG plans for the Tidewater Volleyball Association. Since taking the reins of the organization in 2018, TVA has grown to more than 2000 members, added a 5 court indoor sand facility and secured all indoor programs at the premier Virginia Beach Sports Center, where she has 10 plus courts for the indoor program.

A veteran in the club world, before arriving at TVA she was the Club Director at Northern Virginia Volleyball Association from 2013-2018, where was responsible for all programs from recreational to elite. “At NVVA we had about 1500 youth players and it was important that we met them where they were at- on and off the court. We had several programs and my goal was to make sure every player felt special.”  Wojieck-Stein also started the “VYVL”, Virginia Youth Volleyball League, which gave newer players another avenue to play other teams at comparable age groups and skill levels.

Wojieck played for the Queens University Royals from 2000-03. Her junior and senior seasons saw the Lewisburg, W.V., native play over 200 games, accumulating 610 digs, including a team-high 321 digs her senior year. Wojieck graduated from Queens with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Communications. After playing in college Wojieck’s college coaching career started at her alma mater, Queens University of Charlotte, as a graduate assistant where she worked with the defensive players and provided oversight of the Royals’ academic development. She soon decided that she wanted to make a career out of volleyball and went on to coach at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

In addition to her work at TVA,  Kris is  also the Head Beach Coach for Bryant & Stratton College.

Meet Coach Anna Moreno-Allison

757 Club Director

Anna is no stranger to the game, she started her path at 11 years old, coached and mentored by some of the best coaches in Brazil, including her dad, Antonio Carlos Moreno, an 8 time Olympian, as a professional player and coach, who today mentors and guides several coaches and athletes for the Brazilian Olympic Committee- guiding many of them to Olympic Medals in the past 3 Olympic games. Her twin brother Carlos Moreno, who played for BYU, was the AVCA player of the year in 2004 and today is the Associate head coach at Arizona State University.

Moreno-Allison has been running volleyball clinics since 15 yrs old as her dad "employed" her and her brother to assist him in exchange for some very competitive doubles matches once the teaching was over. She spent most of her young career playing in Brazil and then was recruited to play volleyball  at Oral Roberts (D1), where she graduated with double major in Marketing and Business Administration. During her career and under her leadership, her team won 4 Conference Championships. Anna, was Setter of the year 2x (1999, 2002) and still holds school the #1 school record in assists with 11.04/set, ranks 2nd in assists with 3,942, and fifth for aces with 177.

In 2005 Anna was hired at Bucknell University as an assistant coach, she was named the Head Coach of the program in 2013, where she spent the next 7 seasons until 2019 (14-14). At Bucknell she produced 2 Patriot All-League players and several All- Academic Team selections. Coach Anna guided former Bucknell setter Shannon Pitsch to a school single-season record total in assists (1,199), which also ranked first in the Patriot League. Pitsch, who was a 2008 All-Patriot League selection and a two-time Patriot League All-Tournament Team honoree, went on to claim the career record (3,597) under Allison's tutelage as well.

In addition to being the  757 Club Director and TVA's  Youth Programs Director.  Anna, who has a Master’s in Education, also leads the Old Dominion University Volleyball and Field Hockey teams in  their Leadership Development.
