Ken Shibuya's 7th Annual Next Level Camp is back at the Tidewater Volleyball Center starting December 6th with a special Serve and Pass Session led by Ken and Riley Salmon. Ken will wrap up the Friday night session with a Q&A which parents are welcome to attend...these sessions lead the way in to the two day "Next Level Skills Camp" December 7th and 8th.
Ken Shibuya enters his ninth season as the Cardinal’s associate head coach in 2019-2020 and his 14th overall on staff. He has been an instrumental part of Stanford’s success in the last decade helping them to an NCAA Championship in 2010 and a NCAA final’s appearance in 2014. Shibuya is also one of the top USA High Performance coaches and is one of the original mentor coaches for the HP Staff. He has led numerous boy’s A1 camps and has been a part of eight US Boys Youth National Team coaching staffs. He was the head coach of the 2011, 2014, and 2015 BYNTs and participated in three FIVB Boys u19 World Championships. His 2014-15 team won the Gold Medal in the NORCECA Championships and finished 7th at the World Championships in Argentina (all-time best finish for USA).
Riley Salmon was named the head coach of the inaugural University of Jamestown men’s volleyball program (NAIA, Jamestown, ND) in 2019. His team will begin play in the 2020 season. Riley, a two-time Olympian, help Team USA win the Gold Medal at the 2008 Beijing Games. A starting OH opposite of Reid Priddy, he was considered one of the best passers in the game. He has played professionally in Europe and Brazil and now begins his journey as a coach. This summer he made a tremendous impression as a member of the USA Youth A1 staff, lending his knowledge and wisdom to some of the best young players in the nation. Says Coach Shibuya, “Coach Salmon is truly one of the most inspirational people in our great sport. He is a great communicator and teacher and has the ability to really transform athletes through his sharing of his unique experiences. He is a rising star in the coaching ranks.”

Michael Saeta blossomed as a star player in the French Professional Leagues and set his Chaumont team to great heights in his two years there. A graduate of UC Irvine where he was an AVCA All-American, Michael is a member of the USA National Team. He played in the prestigious 2019 World Cup for Team USA. A top setter in Europe, he is also known for his incredible left-handed serve. Ken Shibuya states, “We are extremely fortunate to have Michael as one of our instructors this year. This young man has been a winner at every level he has played and made himself into a top professional. Young players will learn a lot from Michael as he has played as an opposite and a setter for his college team. One of the most spectacular second contact attackers we’ve ever seen.”
